Here are only some of the types of training that we incorporate into your schedule. There is not one specific training schedule for everyone. We assess you goals as well as capabilities. It's important to make sure that training is also fun and that you wake up in the morning eager to train.

TRX SUSPENSION TRAINING

The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.

BOXING

Adding fight-inspired workouts to your training regimen will pay off in a variety of ways. Whether you're training for full three- or five-minute rounds or you're starting off a bit shorter at first, fight training is tailor-made for High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts. Once you get accustomed to the tempo at which you need to work, HIIT-style sessions will have your conditioning levels spiking in short order. Your lower-back and ab muscles provide power for your punches by initiating an explosive hip turn, and your arms and shoulders bear most of the brunt of the muscle recruitment required for striking.

WEIGHT TRAINING

While machine-based exercises and free weights are both effective in increasing muscular strength and balance, free weights provide the added dimension of versatility and specificity to real-life movements. The website of the American Council on Exercise has a fit facts section that discusses the advantages and disadvantages of free weights and machines. One of the biggest advantages listed for free weights is the ability to do several different movements in one exercise. With machines, you are usually fixed into one area and can only do limited movements. Additionally, the American Council on Exercise explains that free weights allow individuals to mimic everyday movements that occur in different planes of motion.

ZEN YOGA

There are many benefits to living the Zen Yoga lifestyle. Daily practice of Zen Yoga reduces stress by calming the mind, improves physical health, increases mental clarity, vitality and promotes inner peace.

Yoga is based on harmonizing mind and body through the balance of the five elements:

Mental Clarity — Reduce stress through mental focus and meditation.

Physical Wellness — The practice of static postures, stretching, spa and herbal therapies and breathing.

Emotional Serenity — Unlocking the secrets to accepting the now versus the future or past.

Inner Peace — By stopping the mind you remove inner-conflict.

Greater Vitality — Circulation is achieved through deep breathing, physical movement and herbology.

H I I T

Bodyweight and high cardiovascular exercises such as squats, sprinting, pull ups, rowing, burpies, skiing and anything else we can think of will be thrown at you.

This High Intensity Interval session targets your phosphate energy system which gives you short bursts of maximal energy. Work periods range from 10 to 40 seconds - so you can give it your all. Followed by equal to double length rest periods designed for you to almost/fully recover so you can smash out another maximal effort.

The intensity of this workout utilises your energy system that uses the greatest amount of calories, making you leaner, fitter and more powerful than ever before!

BOOT CAMP

Bootcamp, as the name implies is designed to have you fit and prepared for anything life may throw at you. Expect to work individually, in a pair or as a team, either circuit-style or task orientated.

This is a session where anything goes, encompassing lactate and aerobic energy systems you will have strength aspects and endurance aspects to work through - who knows what will be thrown your way - but it’s ok, your comrades will be there with you.

Work periods may vary from 1 minute to 20 minutes of continuous activity with minimal rest to have your muscles burning and heart pounding.

PERSONAL TRAINING

There are so many reasons why a Personal Trainer is essential to achieving your fitness goals, whether they be weight loss-based, sports-driven or for athletic purposes.

Personal Advanced Training understands that everybody is different, and that means everyone’s abilities and requirements are different when it comes to exercise. This could be anything from having an old injury that requires special exercises to having a phobia that may impact on where or how you workout.

For example, if you have an old knee injury that required surgery, but since then you haven’t done anything to rebuild the muscles or improve mobility, then you are going to need different exercises and goals than an athlete who is training to run a marathon. This is where Personal Advanced Training Coaches are  experienced and can make a huge difference to your training program.

YOUTH TRAINING

From maintaining a healthy weight to building strong bones and muscle, the health benefits of physical training for kids ensure long and healthy lives. Personal Advanced Training offers training that targets flexibility and mobility, strength and power, and speed and agility to help youths improve in specific, healthy areas.
